About

Photos by Lynda Myszkowski.

I am a photographer currently living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I primarily focus on landscapes – both urban and natural. I shoot a lot of wide vistas and cityscapes, but I also shoot close-ups to show detail in architecture and nature. However, I don’t limit myself to just those genres and I have experience photographing architecture, products, events, and portraits. I enjoy exploring and photographing in all kinds of weather and never leave home without my camera, so sometimes I will photograph beautiful, interesting, or unique things I see around me. And friends and family members are not spared! My work has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, and across several notable Instagram accounts including Chicago, Choose Chicago, 360 Chicago, Skydeck Chicago, Your Take (USA Today) and the University of Michigan. I was selected as a member of Art of Chi. Clients include Pet Supplies Plus, Winston Retail, Moose Knuckles, Draftbit, Arena Partners LLC, and UMCGC.

Prior to pursuing photography full time, I earned an MBA and worked in marketing, accounting, and finance. As unique of a career path as this is, as I reflect, I realize it is not actually that unusual. My entire career has been a journey to find the best application of my keen attention to detail, my strong analytical skills, an appreciation for beauty, and an underlying creative streak. Auditing financials for the Fortune 100 led me to managing marketing budgets for one of the earliest dotcom companies, where I later led all creative and strategy development for their online marketing campaigns.

As a lifelong shutterbug, becoming a professional photographer was a logical extension of my skills and experiences. Taking that perfect shot is as much science as art – e.g. analyzing my surroundings for the ideal vantage point, researching sun placement, framing the target with exacting precision. I enjoy finding beauty all around me. Enhancing the natural beauty of those moments requires mastery of digital editing tools.   In retrospect, I’m using similar skills that I used to manage marketing campaigns and budgets.

I’m incredibly grateful to have found my ultimate calling and be able to do something that I am passionate about. I’m certain my background and skills give me a unique edge in how I work and the art I create. I encourage you to browse through my portfolio and judge for yourself!
